Born and raised in Utah County, Alyssa Holbrook gained a passion for film at a very young age. She loved horror movies growing up, and took immediate interest in all of the grotesque makeups.

Inspired by the TV show “Supernatural”, Alyssa dressed up as a character for comic con, and tried out a slit throat makeup. After receiving positive feedback, she continued to pursue SFX and soon fell in love, taking a particular fondness for grossing people out. Alyssa has been working as a makeup artist going on eight years, branching out her skills in beauty, film and character makeup. In 2019 she graduated from Hollywood’s Cinema Makeup School with the Complete Track. She is a member of IATSE Local 706.

Alyssa is based in Los Angeles and can work locally in Salt Lake City/Utah County. She is available for travel world wide, union and non-union work.
